Atlin Houseboat Rentals offers water taxi services and guided scenic tours and hikes on Atlin lake and within Atlin Provincial Park.
Due to running costs, damages and the newly implemented regulations on skipper licensing, we will not be renting out our houseboats. Instead we are looking to sell the Playmaker III (see listing on Playmaker page) and keeping the Teresa Isle. for our own use.
We have enjoyed meeting all of our clients and hope that this change will not keep you away from Atlin in the future.
Atlin is reputed to be the "Little Switzerland of the North" and is
tucked away in the Coastal Mountains of Northern British Columbia.
Atlin is also the northern most town in BC. The town was founded during
the Klondike Goldrush of 1898. Today we are a small friendly town of
about 400 fulltime residents and gold mining is still a large part of
our lives.
Atlin Lake is the largest natural lake in British Columbia and is
nestled between glaciers and towering snow capped mountains. The lake
is 85 miles long, up to 5 miles wide and 900 feet deep. It is home to
record size Laketrout, Pike, Grayling and Whitefish.
There is a wide variety of wildlife to see. Bears and moose roaming in
the hills and along the shores, goats and sheep on the mountain peeks,
eagles and other native and migratory birds soaring up above. There are
dozens of smaller islands with sheltered coves and pebbled beaches that
have easy access to mooring sites. Off the boat, relax by a campfire or
take a leisurely hike. You could explore the lake for days and still
not see all of it.
